Farswood Construction is led by Owen, who oversees every project from initial consultation through to completion.
With over 25 years of extensive hands-on experience in residential construction, Owen specialises in managing complex home improvements including extensions, structural alterations, and full refurbishments.
His approach focuses on clear communication, careful planning, and strong coordination between trades. By keeping projects organised and well managed, Farswood ensures that work progresses efficiently and to a high standard.

I am so chuffed with our new home, and it’s huge thanks to Farswood Construction for their care, guidance and hard work that we have it. It was a big project! A two-storey side and rear extension to take our tiny galley kitchen into a lovely open-plan kitchen-diner with a utility room and downstairs toilet attached, plus a new bedroom with en-suite above. I also had the loft converted at the same time to add a further bedroom with en-suite bathroom in the attic, which necessitated the ceilings in the bedroom and landing below to be lowered.
I needed to get our work done in a couple of main stages as my budget allowed, and this was not just accommodated without any issues, but I was advised on how to do this in the most economical way.
I found Owen at all times to be honest, trustworthy and reliable, and those he contracted to work on our home to be kind, helpful and good at what they do. I felt that we were treated like human beings and that those involved had a positive attitude – I’ve not had any building work done before, and the teams were happy to advise when I needed some help with making decisions.
I don’t know any building project where there isn’t some sort of an issue which crops up at some point – but it’s how it’s dealt with which is key. At all times Owen and those working for Farswood were focused on practical problem-solving and we are absolutely delighted with the results.
